Professor Tatsuya Yoshizawa, PhD

Visual Perception - color perception and motion perception

Biographical Sketch
Professor Yoshizawa has been engaged to research and to teach at the Department of Human Sciences, Kanagawa University, from April 2017.
After five years as a postdoctoral fellow, he was offered a faculty position at Human Information System Laboratory, Kanazawa Institute of Technology. He worked on a chromatic motion mechanism and visual cognition using brain imaging techniques.
He worked on a color vision of primates physiology with Dr. Michael J. Hawken at Center for Neural Science, New York University, from October 2000 to March 2002, as a postdoctoral fellow. From April 1997 to September 2000, he has worked under Dr. Curtis Baker Jr and Dr. Kathy Mullen at McGill Vision Research, McGill University, as a postdoctoral fellow. There, he investigated on chromatic motion mechanism.
Just after he obtained PhD in Engineering at Tokyo Institute of Technology, he has worked on the relationship between self-motion perception and posture control at Human Information System Laboratory, Kanazawa Institute of Technology, for three years.
